Objective

The objectives of the Alpha Academy Mentoring Program is to offer enriching experiences in the lives of our young men; to affirm and empower young men to achieve their dreams and goals; to instill a sense of pride, self awareness, and purpose; to enhance their knowledge, skills, and abilities; to develop leadership qualities that will place them on a firm path to success; to promote their continued education beyond High School; to encourage and compel a sense of consciousness and drive for community involvement; to motivate, shape, inspire and provide positive role models in place of negative images in their lives; to strengthen their character, elevate their standards and teach them accountability.

Meet Our Committee Staff

Bro. Yohance Duff

Director of Educational Activities

The Director facilitates all activities with the academy. Provides Alpha Academy direction, manages our budget and oversees mateials required for the Academy. All Deans and staff members report to the Director.

Bro. Andre Dillard

Chief Dean of Mentees

Assists the Director, provides direction to the high school and middle school deans. Coordinates our “Project Alpha”, “Go to High School, Go to College” and our “A Voteless People is a Hopeless People” requirements.

Dean of High School Mentees

The Dean of high school serves as our high school advisor. He oversees the curriculum instructions, provides leadership and direction to all high school mentees. (mentees are called Pharaohs)

The Dean of middle school serves as our middle school advisor. He oversees the curriculum instructions, provides leadership and direction to all middle school mentees. (mentees are called Pharaohs)

College Coordinator

Responsible for maintaining relationships with all colleges throughout the state, provides leadership for participants interested in furthering their education after high school which helps to bridge the gap between high school and college.

Bro. Chatry Perry

Scholarship Coordinator

Develops, manage, and facilitates our scholarship awards. Identifies potential candidates through online or mailed application submissions. Evaluates each candidate to determine qualifications.

Bro. Cabral Campbell

Tresurer

Oversees the management and reporting of the organization’s finances. Assist with the development of Alpha Academy’s annual budget and reports.
