Why EDUCATION?

It helps us build opinions and have points of view on things in life. People debate over the subject of whether education is the only thing that gives knowledge. Some say education is the process of gaining information about the surrounding world while knowledge is something very different. They are right.

According to the Asante Africa Foundation, education is vital to a thriving society. A society without education will become the breeding ground for violence and intolerance. But an educated society will promote tolerance and peace, justice and understanding, innovation and advancement, and positive, self-sustaining growth. It’s important to educate our children, no matter where they live, for they will grow to become responsible citizens of their society. Each child represents a future, the future of the community, of the country, and indeed the future of the whole world. http://www.asanteafrica.org/why-education-asante/

"The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education."
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Education is that whole system of human training within and without the school house walls, which molds and develops men."
- W.E.B. DuBois

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
- Nelson Mandela
